About Debra
A stalwart of South African theatre and event management, during her career Debra has worked with top management in all aspects of theatre, film and television and eventing.
She co-created one of the most successful independent theatre companies in South African history; toured internationally with local and international productions; took a cast to perform for King Charles at the Royal Variety Performance and continues to be a highly sought-after general management consultant.
Always looking for new ways to lift up the entertainment industry, Debra has also added another string to her bow with the management of high-quality local and international talent.

Career Highlights
Since starting her theatre career in 1973, Debra has worked with top management in all aspects of theatre, film and television and eventing. In 1983 she joined forces with Richard Loring to form one of the most successful independent theatre companies in South Africa.
Career highlights with Richard Loring include international tours with "A Touch of Webber - A Taste of Rice", the Royal Command Performance of "Girl Talk" in Malaysia and "Ticket to Ride" in the UK. At the Sound Stage, Debbie co-directed "Girl Talk - Nite Out" and "Yellow Brick Road" for which she received a Vita nomination. "African Footprint" highlights as Associate Producer and Company/Tour Manager: Millennium Night on Robben Island; 2000 Royal Command Performance at St James' Palace, London; and Monte Carlo Sporting Club's 30th Anniversary performance.
Debra joined Gold Reef City's team which built both the Globe and Lyric Theatres and she stayed on to head up the Lyric Theatre team for 3 years. She now has her own company and consults for numerous clients and loves the challenges of new events on an ongoing basis. Whether it be a one-off event or month-long projects, the entertainment industry has always been a part of Miss B’s blood - and she continues to help it grow and shine in South Africa and internationally.
